    Yay! I have had great results from (gently) riding on the trainer - it really helped reduce my foot & ankle swelling. I would bring the shoe(s) you are considering using for their approval. I can also recommend icing after you exercise your foot/ankle, even if it doesn't ache at the moment. Congratulations on your healing! Tokie

    That is good to hear. I was afraid it might make the swelling worse. What kind of shoes do you wear?

    I am able to get into my Sidi (road) shoes - if I couldn't get into them, I guess that a stiff-soled hiking shoe might work. My swelling was somewhat over the top of my foot but mainly my ankle & about 1/3rd up my calf. Am told that the swelling will persist for approx 6 mos. tokie
