Okay - I have a question about the Shebeest S-Pro shorts: how low do they sit in front? I have 2 pair of SSS, and they are as low as I'd go - I have a long torso, and some of my jerseys just barely meet the shorts. I hate that! Nobody needs to see my 45 year old midriff. From a review I read about the S-Pro, they sound even lower. On the other hand, I just got a pair of Shebeest Pro Splice shorts, and I really like them. They're actually a tad higher in front than the SSS. And I LOVE the lack of grippers (they stay put, no problem) - I ordered them online, so it felt like a risk in many ways, but the price was right. Anyway, the problem with the Pro Splice is the color of the splice panel - a nice blue, but will clash with some jerseys (although it matches one almost perfectly). If the S-Pro fit is similar to the Pro Splice, I'd consider them in the future, for an all-black version.

I think the S-Pro are lower than the SSS, but maybe not. I had a pair of SSS a long time ago...I recall they were higher. But that may have changed. These are below my navel by maybe as much as an inch.

Yeah, I'm with you Skierchickie on the low-rise stuff...HATE IT! I definitely need something that sits right at the waistline in front (due to my lovely tummy pooch)...so anything that sits below the navel is a no-go for me.

I love the S Pro low waist. The wide flat waist band is very comfortable. Of course, everything I wear is low waist, so the thought of anything on my waist makes me itch. I don't think age makes a difference; I'm 57.
I had the SSS shorts many years ago. The S Pros are lower, but I think they were made a bit higher in the front in last year's model, because I have 2 pairs bought in 09 and 2 bought in '10 and they are slightly different.

Will be available in a version 3 inches shorter in January. Maybe even a little earlier. Also, to be available in the longer version with a bib.

And hopefully the bib will be awesome. I test rode a prototype, then sent them back a whole list of changes we wanted to see. (And, actually, I told them we couldn't buy it the way it was because of a couple of things we saw as critical flaws.) They made changes and sent me out a 2nd prototype, which is probably waiting for me at the office now (I've been out for 3 weeks, 1st day back tomorrow.) I'm stoked to try the newer version!
