Creaking

My bike now has a new bottom bracket. It shouldn't have worn out after that long, but the mechanic did say that parts were fairly roughed up. (I'm pretty sure being caught in a torrential downpour while in transport did nothing to help.)

I'm picking her up tomorrow. Yay! (But now I'm just a little bit more convinced that I need a second bike...)

Glad you know what the problem is, but sucks you have to put money in this bike, that could have gone toward your next ride.

Yeah, really. They cleaned and lubed everything that might have been making noise, and gave me a 5% discount, which was nice of them, but it's still $50 that I could have put toward something else. I'm trying not to pour much money into this bike, but in order to keep riding, I need to put something into it to keep it working for me for the next couple of years. If I don't ride, then it sort of defeats the purpose of putting money toward a new bike.
