LOL! Yes, that got a lot of comments. My father died of cancer about 10 years ago. My DHs wife of 17 years died of cancer a few years ago. I wore it for them. My "something borrowed" was her earrings and necklace. His 10 year old daughter loaned her mom's (now hers) jewelry for me to wear if I wanted. I was honored to do that. All of us, even the 10 year old, raise money for Livestrong, and ride the Livestrong challenge every year.... DH runs Livestrong marathons. So on it stayed!

    Thumbs up married cycling partners

First of all- Congratulations on your marriage!

Although the man I maaried 37 years ago wasn't my cycling partner then, he is now and we cycle together as often as possible (work and life restraints etc.) and plan to do so well into our ripe old age and senility.

Yay!!! You make a beautiful bride.

I'm married to ONE of my cycling partners. He's too fast to be my all the time cycling partner, but when he wants to "take it easy" and pull the whole way, he rides with me. My main cycling partner is one of my best girlfriends, which is great. But it is definitely nice that my husband is so into the sport. He's the one who got me into it. We go to some events together, (where he waits for me at the end, while I ride with my friend) and we can talk bike talk all the time. And he maintains my bike and takes care of me in that regard. Just surprised me with a new Cannondale Super Six frame and SRAM Red shifters and derailers ... all put together with my previous components ... and the new Easton wheels he gave me for Valentines Day. Oh be still my beating heart!!!

Congratulations on your marriage. Happy riding to you both for many, many years to come!!! (Maybe YOU'LL get new wheels for Valentine's Day next year! Or some other awesome and very romantic bike part. Ha ha!!!)
    GO RIDE YOUR BIKE!!!

    2009 Jamis Aurora/Brooks B-68
