We got the hats at the pet store and they have straps that go under their chins.
I had to hold Tucker for Thom to be able to shoot the pictures, he kept trying to flip his hat off and couldn't reach it. It made me feel bad, like we were playing a mean prank on him.Of course he got over it. Cats don't hold grudges.
I'd love to be able to get a shot of either of them in their hats with their sweet faces on - not the po'ed look, but I think it's unlikely.

When my daughter had an 8th grade project to bring home those fake babies, to teach teenagers how hard it is to take care of real babies supposedly, she put the baby hat on the cat and layed it down in the baby car seat. Somewhere in this house is a picture of that, it was hysterical. the cat really just seemed confused.
I MUST get some of those hats for my own cats! Your cats are too cute, Veronica! I have a tabby and a tuxedo, too, so I'm admittedly partial to them anyway.

Oh, I love the kitty hat photos! I'm probably a big meanie, but I would never feel bad doing stuff like that to a cat - I believe one of their purposes in life is to provide humans with entertainment through undignified poses and funny accessories
I come from a cat-mad family, but have to satisfy myself with other people's cats at the moment. I adopted a gorgeous little ginger boy cat named Harry earlier this year from the pound - 13 + years, but it turned out he had end stage kidney disease and he died within a couple of monthsI don't think I am quite emotionally ready for another one yet.
If anyone else has cute kitty photos, please post them! I can never get enough!
