I discovered 3 TE members here live less than 5 kms. near me, in different directions. Ironic to discover this via an international, American-dominant forum like TE.

Yesterday I got to meet and hang out with V, and hubbie Thom in Yarmouth, ME! They are here on vaca, and came out to the Yarmouth Clam Festival to watch DH and I race. Then we all went to lunch afterwards. Very fun!
I love meeting TE people.

When I joined really had no expectation to meet anyone in person. It was more to be part of a female-centred cycling internet discussion group.
I have participated in previous bike forums elsewhere, where I met with 3, each woman in different situations/places. They were from: Toronto, Netherlands and New Mexico. Netherlands woman was doing a worldwide bike ride and was an esperanto enthusiast.For 3 days, I get to part of a thousand other journeys.
