My sister won a Ruby!

Oh my gosh, she is SOOOOO excited. She was seriously depressed about losing her other bike, to the point of crying if I mentioned a bike ride I did or was about to do. (So I learned not to mention )

I happened to be with her when she was listening to the voice mail telling her she won. She started freaking out, jumping up and down, spinning around, screaming. This went on for some time as she continued to listen to the message. I looked at my mom and said, "Did she just win the lottery?" And it's almost like she DID!

I find it quite hilarious that you actually got the email and already read about this. Small world.

She's been through a heck of a lot that's not even mentioned in her essay, so I'm truly happy for her. It's about time she gets blessed with something great.

What a great sister you are . Any other person would have been jealous. You 2 must be great together. May she have safe and pleasant rides on Ruby (I know she will).

Yes, it's a sweet guitar. Dh and I both have one, though he plays better. But having a really nice guitar at least make it "seem" like I play better than I do. Ha ha!

We actually know someone who works at Taylor in San Diego.

My husband is extremely familiar with all these components because he bought them all, one at a time, and put them on his old Cannondale as he got each part. (Except the pink Damselfly seat .. that was me!) Then he bought a new frame (Caad8) and had all the parts put on the new frame. THEN ... he upgraded to a Cannondale SystemSix, bought me a Caad9 frame and had all the above parts put on the frame and WAH LA! I get to have a pretty sweet bike.

Now I'm about to switch out the handlebars for 3T Ergonova Team bars because they are better for smaller hands. This is not a women specific bike, but the handlebars are my only issue. Specifically, comfortably reaching and controlling the brakes.
