Wahoo, I will be fine. I was down at the site watching the try-a-tri people and the Kids of Steel early this morning - what fun! Then I stopped at Gyro beach and swam 500m in my tri suit. I was absolutely fine. I can do it - yahoo!!!!

Did I tell you my mantra? (Feel free to borrow it!)

I am awesome! I can fly!
I am gonna rock this tri!

And when I was swimming today I was chanting (to the beat of my stroke).

    "I don't need a wetsuit. I'm not a baby. I am tough. I'm not a baby."

Good luck to everyone who's racing tomorrow! We rock!!!!!!

No wetsuits for us either. When I took my friend to practice OWS last week, we practiced with and without the wetsuit. I hope the jellies stay home!

    Deaf-blind athlete

The coolest thing by far that I saw today at the Danskin packet pick-up was a deaf-blind athlete, with her interpreter, picking up her race packet.

Second coolest, the Team Survivor folks.

Kind of helps you keep your perspective, these things.

    Go, TE Girls, go!!!

My friend who makes the jewelry from recycled bike parts, did the Xterra in Ogden, Utah today! Yahoooooooo!!! I saw on the race results that she finished and I'm amazed that anyone can do a 1.5k swim, 30k mtb ride and 10k trail run in the 4:25 she did it in (let alone the 2:25 the overall mens winner did it in). I bow down before all racers and all triathletes in particular! You rock, every one of you!!!!

    Hugs and butterflies,
