Wow, big-time high five for being structured enough to ride the trainer in late April! I burned out around February and literally can't even look at the thing until I see snow next year (it's in the back of my closet).
Now, see... I look at it as being wimpy and lazy! But I own up to that!

Beautiful unseasonably nice weather - Cr@ppy ride!

Been doing some seat height adjustments and apparently didn't get it tight enough. Did the magic sinking bike rider act. At first I thought I was imagining it, but once my knees were coming up around my ears(haha), I decided I really was sinking. Raised the seat, started off again. Still wasn't high enough, but we were trying to get home before it got too dark (took most of the lights off already), so I thought I could make do. Finally about three miles from home, I stopped again, and raised the seat some more. My knees which are grouchy in good times, were really not happy

Really hated to botch such a beautiful ride -- especially since was just carelessness on my part!

I have had a presta snap too - SO frustrating! Do you carry a spare tire? Did you walk home 5 miles?
*Normally* I would have a spare on me but I forgot to put my seat bag on. The tire actually held air so I gingerly rode it back to the car. I can always put a tube in it (I'm running tubeless) but then I'd have to deal with all that stuff again.

I'm gonna get used to the c02 thingies and/or use a Topeak Morph pump that has a retractable air hose so that I don't jiggle the presta valve and pop that baby off.

Hehehe.... I asked if you carry a spare tire - what a funny thought! You could wear it around your neck or like a commuter bag!! Glad you didn't catch that/or decided not to point your finger and laugh!

I have the C02 cartridges - I once flatted twice within 15 minutes - I didn't have enough air with the 2 cartridges that I had to fill three tires - so I called my hubby. Nice to have back up!

What tubeless tires do you use?

You are too funny! Yeah, I can see me sporting a tire like a set of Barbara Bush pearls.

I am using Kenda Small Block Eight tires. They really roll and are tough as nails until you break the valve thingy off.

    Why aren't you out riding??
