beating ol' man winter is one of my favorite games. It often involves looking like a Polar excursion but that is half the fun . I biked to volunteer in the next city over. The first part of my ride was a short downhill segment that I would use to power through the first mile. It would involve tears because I was so cold and wasn't warmed up yet- that was until I started weraing my lab goggles! The thing was though, the place I volunteered really appreciated that I wouldn't let weather stop me and encouraged my biking habit. they even let me take my bike inside so it wouldn't get rainy, snowy, cold, or, worst, stolen.
