CC are you doing any VMO specific exercises? To strengthen mine, I do a partial wall squat with a ball squeezed between my knees. Do you do that one?

have you tried looking on line for cycling specific strength drills? Like one-legged spins etc.

Sounds like many of the walking wounded are still struggling! But I love the idea of March as a getting back to riding month. In like a Lion, out like a Lamb, right? So by the end of the month, all our injuries will be like harmless little lambs?

I am struggling too. Today I rode 9 easy miles and my ankle is swollen and painful and the arch of my foot is hurting again too. I rode a little bit on Saturday and Sunday and things felt pretty good. I rested Monday and Tuesday, and just I don't see how easy rides that last less than an hour could be pushing it too much. Prior to Saturday, I was able to do an hour on the trainer with no problem. So why should going outside in this beautiful weather be causing problems?!?! Oh, this is so beyond frustrating!!!

OH yeah! It's going to be 48 when I get home and I am going out for my first road bike ride of the year. I am curious to see how my neck and shoulder will feel. I have about 5 PT sessions left; it feels a lot looser, but I always tense up on the bike. She gave me 2 new exercise to do this week and I hope they help.
