I know...but what about the way the hi-viz clashes with the beet-red of my face when I finally roll into the rest-stops, cafes, etc?

(I wish there was a hi-viz color that was also pretty to wear...)

Safety first. Who cares if you clash?

    Yep, safety first.
Better to wear Hi-vis screaming yellow and clash a bit than to be hit by a car....not very pretty at all.

I know, I know...but am I the only one vain enough to wish Hi-Viz was not the very most unflattering color in the universe?

    Yellow is my favorite color.

Nooooo...I am pasty, pasty white. Maybe I need to go "George Hamilton" to work the hi-viz!

Ah - I actually look pretty good in hi-vis yellow. It shows off my tan (when I have one).

And Jergens lotion with gentle self tanner! (And, Portland gets hotter summers than where I live...you'll do great!)

Wish I didn't know tanning beds aren't great for you. I LOVE tanning beds.

When you're wearing hi-viz yellow, no one will see the other colors it might or might not be clashing with

Aaah!! A new strategy. Make the hi-viz so blinding that no one notices my red skin, throbbing temples, gasping breath.

Hi, Starfish.......In case you're at all interested in the Brooks Nightlife jerseys, I stumbled on a good deal on that line today at www.shoebuy.com. Today only, 20% off, plus free shipping, using a code. The real deal is the Nightlife jacket for women---with the discount it's @$46. Full retail is $80. I just snagged two long-sleeved Nightlife jerseys in the $30-40 range, plus a short-sleeved one for $32......Good luck and be safe out there!! You're my inspiration for tackling hills!

Hey Kathi, thanks. I think I will go with the LL Bean cycling jersey, but thanks! And, as for hills, if a hi-viz beach ball like me can enjoy hills, so can anyone!
