Gas, lodging, and entry fees for those out of state rides everyone assures you are possible to complete, plus new arm warmers because your route takes you right past the Pearl Izumi outlet store. Not to mention the virtual encumbrance of the future purchase of those new shoes and peddles you try on at the mecca for cyclists you pass on your way home. Then there's the future purchase of a new bike, which is the direct result of a certain climbing club encouraging you to climb more in a month than you ever did in a year and decide you love climbing. Sheesh...it goes on and on!
If it weren't for TE, I wouldn't have thought I could do any of these things, and therefore wouldn't have needed any of that stuff!

It wasn't TE for me. I blame Dh. He's the one who talked me into a custom bike and got me to like this cycling thing. Heck, I only found TE becuase the anticipation of my bike being built was keeping me up. Every other purchase since has been to make me more comfy or make my bike better/more useful. I just come to TE so I can make a more informed decision.
