    Exclamation This forum is expensive!

Someone should post a warning sign about being a TE member--it comes with a price tag or should I say price tags! Thanks you to guys, I not only bought upgrades for my Sequoia, but 2 08' bikes as well. Oh and the gear. And clothing. And accessories. And a hitch....

That's odd. It's not costing me a cent (we're fortunate to have enough to eat)

That's because you've used the whip to coerce TE'ers out of their stuff.

    Yup

I've found so many websites and bikes through this site and it is indeed expensive. The odd thing is all my purchases are justified. How did THAt happen?

True, it would be useful to whip me into shape, though. I know, kinda corny.

After I read the original post I went and looked all through the TE shopping site trying to see what bikes they sell.

Yes, I've noticed that. Here is TE in a nutshell:

    Q: Should I buy it?
A: [full chorus here] Yes! Of course! Definitely! The wise ones give the full answer, which is "Yes! Provided it fits."

What did you get? And when can we see pictures?

Hey, that's what I was going to say!!!

And Sundial, now you are costing me more money, too You see, I have a knack for art and when I saw your pictures, I thought to myself, hmmm, now why don't I have a studio (insert whiny voice) and why don't I have canvas and oil and why only watercolors for me, why?

Q: Should Flybye get canvas and oil paints?
A: [full chorus here] Yes! Of course! Definitely! And a studio, if it fits.

I'm laughing, because I was just making a list of what colors (acrylics) I've got, so I can fill in some gaps. More blues! More greens!

Let's see...what has TE cost me

...a bento box for on-the-fly snacking (great invention and not just for fast triathletes) -- $10
...bright color jerseys because dull T-shirts were just not acceptable --$too much but worth it for visibility
...new handlebars because the old ones were too wide -- $50
    ...a winter riding Surly $800
...a new Waterford $[oh, I cannot admit that price tag]

Oh, yeah, this forum comes with a really, really steep price tag, but like that MasterCard commercial....and the advice, support and commraderie...$priceless

I'm aiding and abetting an artist.

Perhaps you should call these friendly folks and have them drop shipa bunch of mediums and canvases. Otherwise you'll drive yourself nuts getting started with a painting and running out of a much desired color.

    I'll pm another source.
