Yup, it's hard not to think of them as "boys" when you could be their mom.

(and I'm gay, but that's not why I think of them as "boys"! )

    Don't say that, Knotted.
I think I am one of their team-mates and am sitting by the phone with my bag packed ready to save the day in the next Big Tour if someone has a major crash.
(It goes like this: someone will get injured badly and they will say "Only margo can help us now." Then they will phone and I will be flown to a Fancy Training Camp with all the trimmings. Stopping on the way at a Big Shop where I will point at 1000 things and say things like "Perhaps you have that in a lighter shade" or "Do you have that in WSD" and they will pay...they will all call me "Mademoiselle" too!)

oh Margo, you crack me up!

My "boys" are the same age as the boys on the Tour, and I don't call them boys anymore. They wouldn't like it. They're my lovely, mature, handsome men.

I believe "boys" is used to convey comraderie (sp?). I heard one of the riders refer to the peleton as "the boys". They are all suffering and living through a difficult experience together.

After watching the TdF, I also believe men should be forced to obtain a license before wearing Speedo-type swimsuits. blech!

Well in this mornings coverage there was a completely naked guy--no "mini, mini, mankini". Not as evenly tanned as the other guy though.
