We see LOTS of utilikilts around here. I think they look very good!
Once in a while I see a woman wearing one, but they just look so much better on men.
I <3 kilts!

I think Mr. Silver should get a utilikilt. When you've got nice biker legs, why not show them off!

If I do, I have Silver send you a picture!

Well ladies, I just looked at the utilikilt website....there's no way I'm spending > $200 for a kilt...![]()
Besides, with my short legs, it would just look like a skirt![]()

I have seen a few Bilinkys. I've looked into that as an option for tandems that would suit myself and my young son, along with the DaVinci. One advantage we have here is that they're both local builders.
I also know a few guys that wear traditional kilts after a ride. I don't want to know what, if anything, they are wearing under them after the race!![]()
"The bicycle is just as good company as most husbands and, when it gets old and shabby, a woman can dispose of it and get a new one without shocking the entire community." -- Ann Strong, Minneapolis Tribune, 1895
The price on the utilikilt is a bit high, sure. But the construction makes them worth it, in my opinion--high quality and extremely durable. Anytime I've been in the utilikilt shop, I've always longingly fondled the kilts and wished they worked better on my own body.
I have a cyclist friend who loves them. He puts one on after his rides, takes his shorts off from underneath, and happily goes about his business with unrestricted, unencumbered ease.
I also like the ease with which they can be taken off. Once the belt is undone, one pull will release all the snaps on the front...(That feature was one that was shown to me by one of the shop guys when I was there looking for a kilt with the aforementioned friend.)
