Really? When I tried on size 42 they felt too short, but the 42.5 felt longer. I tried on 43's but they were definitely too long.
Perhaps it was the extra width that worked out for me ...

Where did you find that info? The soles of my Sidis (5 pairs in sizes 38 and 38.5) are the same length, but the uppers are definitely a different length. The toe box is longer on the 38.5s.

And yes I have been called Imelda.
These are all Sidi Dominators - size 38 and 38.5. I don't think it's just my little princess toes that feel the difference in the length of the uppers. The soles on all are marked 38.

Big hooves need big shoes. I have Nike Katos in size 43 (women's) and tried some Diadora Ergo Plus in 43--no dice. In Shimanos, I need a 44 so that means men's--which seem pretty narrow in Shimano, but I'm not keen on how they feel under my foot.
Any suggestions for the larger-footed? I need new shoes because I'm now switching to Crank Brothers from SPDs on my road bike, leaving the SPDs on my commuter. And even if I switch over to Crank Brothers on both bikes, the Katos are giving me blisters on the end of my big toe!! Granted, I bought them in November and it's now July, but what a pain! (literally)
When I bought my dominators several years ago, I first bought a 41, thought they were too tight when I tried them on again at home, and brought them back to the LBS, and asked them to exchange for a 41.5 and they told me this. I checked it online, and that was what sidi posted at that time, although I don't see that info. there now so I don't know if this means they have changed there sizing, or are just no longer explaining it as clearly. I bought the 42s and they are just great. My daughter got the 42.5s, and indeed the length is the same, but width is wider.
Eh, weird. You can clearly see mine are not.

I'm pretty happy with my Sidi Dominators in the wide Mega 43 size. Normally I size at around a women's 10 EE/EEEE width, and I have a high arch/instep to make a very high volume foot.

This thread has been helpful considering I would like to a buy a pair of Sidi's (there on the list at least) and that I have squares for feet. Does the catalog mention which women's shoes come in the megas or do they all come in the megas?
As for you "sasquatches" out there, I rowed with a girl who wore a 14 (US)..MENS!!No joke. Now those are some bigguns!
Yeh, but mine and my daughters are! Hers are in new england and mine are in texas, so I can't take a pic. But, I can't help but wonder if they didn't change the sizing since this information was prominently posted at their website when I bought mine, but isn't there anymore.
I think the bottom line is you need to TRY THEM ON. Shoes are one of the hardest things to mail order..........

I wish I read this thread before I bought my SIDI's. My Size 40 Diadora's fit great, they just wore out. I now need to toss my Size 40 Sidi's. Too narrow in the toe box.
I'll probably try to find another pair of Diadoras.
