I didn't ride today, probably one of the only weekend days that I haven't since April. My husband left for Sweden at 3, so around 11 we parked our car at the drugstore, did an errand and then walked about a quarter of a mile to Concord center, which of course was full of cyclists. We walked for about 30 minutes, looking stores, and then ate lunch on the patio of the Colonial Inn. There was a group of tourists from Japan on the sidewalk, taking pictures, and they made a group of cyclists stop so they could take a picture. It was funny. Then we walked back to the car.
I went for a hike in Estabrook Woods late in the afternoon. I only saw 2 people. One other guy hiking, and then when i was almost back, a dad with his 2 young daughters who were riding these really cute Trek kid's bikes. I told the dad good work for getting them out on the trail so young. It was really nice out, coolish, like a September day. Being on the trail made me want to take my mtb out, which I haven't been on since December...

I think this is one of those things where it will take me a couple of weeks to adjust to the higher pace, and it will feel okay. It's just the next couple of weeks that will be tough...
Hey, Dr. Liz! That's a great pace -- That leg injury is still pretty new, and you need to heal before you up the average some more, or you're going to be doing more than struggling to keep up, so please don't push that too hard!
