I'd like to see Xian in China -- all those terra cotta warriors, and the old city itself.
I'd like to see more of Africa, now that I've been to South Africa once.
In the US I'd like to go back to Canyon de Chelly again, as well as other places where Native Americans lead tours of their own territories.
And now that I've learned that my grandfather did some of the stencil decor at Groman's Chinese Theatre, I'd like to get in there and see it.
Half-marathon over. Sabbatical year over. It's back to "sacking shirt and oat cakes" as they say here.

Boy, good choices, Duck. I want to go to those places too.

CC, I forgot all about the Jasper/Lake Louise/Banff/Fraser River Canyon in Canada. It's spectacular! I rode the train from Montreal to Vancouver when I was 18 on my first Seattle visit. Mr. Salsa hasn't seen this part of Canada yet and I would love to take him. Where's your mom?

Fun thread ! I did this about 10 years ago. I went to SF, San Diego, Atlanta and Key West. I wanted to venture out of the country, but was a little intimidated to travel alone. Since then I've gotten a little more brave and have travelled alone outside of the US

    Outside the US:

    1. Visit the Seychelles once and for all.
    2. New Zeland - everything from camping to hiking to kayaking.
    3. Oaxaca for Day of the Dead.
    4. South East Asia - all of it.
    5. Machu Picchu/Inca Trail (this is planned for next year if my foot heals up).
    6. Turkey: Istanbul to see the Hagia Sophia & Sufi dancers and Cappadocia to see the caves.
    7. Safari in Kenya to see the awesome wildlife.
    8. Back to Italy to just eat and drink !
    9. Iceland - Blue Lagoon, Gullfoss and exlore the country.
    10. Rapa Nui to see the giant stone monoliths.
    11. Antartica.

    In North America:

    1. Spend a year backpacking and hiking through all the (main) National Parks - I don' even know where to begin !
    2. Go back to Alaska and spend more time there.
    3. Visit Vancouver Island again.
