I just bought a Cervelo One Tri bike for $500- 0 miles on it!
It's a Cervelo One... 2004 model.
This place is having a close out deal on the older models. I bought it for $540 with shipping and no tax!
I'm a bit worried though:
1) I have never sat on a Cervelo... although they get rave reviews.
2) I picked a size based on some basic (VERY BASIC!) measurements. I got a 51CM. What if it doesn't fit?
3) They are taking orders... but in some cases have oversold the bikes they have coming in... so I might not really get the bike. BUT, they did say that they had 48's and 51's left in the One's.
4) I am pulling the money out of savings to pay for the bike. OUCH! I hate my balance to go below a certain amount in case I get laid off or something... and I have gone below my balance! I just hope I get a raise and some money back from the IRS this year!
Some great points that sold me on the idea and made me buy the bike:
1) I have wanted a tri bike and this is a steal!
2) It has Shimano's 105's on it. My Trek 1000 purchased for $650 doesn't even have that.
3) It has a carbon fork... on a $500 bike... WOW!
4) Even if it doesn't fit and I don't like it, I can sell it for the price I paid for it... I'm sure.
So, I have to wait to November to even get it shipped out... might not have it till December.
But it looks like that I might be a proud new owner of a tri bike!
Finally, here is the link if any of you ladies want to be TEMPTED too!
