because I am to chicken to post this on their facebook page it is going here.

    Dear Assisted Living,
Due to your incompetent staff I get to spend the 3rd Friday in a row taking my Dad to the Wound Clinic. This is a minimum of a 3 hour trip. While I enjoy spending time with him this is not what I had in mind.
Once again, I will be working the weekend to make up for your inability to communicate.

On a positive note, I think I have found the perfect certified home to move him to. The owner has a striking resemblance to my Mom - I am taking that as a sign.

((((Blueberry, Sky King and Sky King Dad)))). I'm so sorry for your respective troubles.

Dear microbes/viruses that have inhabited my respiratory system:

You have so rudely interrupted an entire week of my spring break (so far!). I want to go outside in this perfect weather and ride my bike, maybe plant some tomatoes in the garden and get stuff done that I can't get done while I'm teaching. I have barely been able to get off the couch and I'm tired of coughing up your crud. GO AWAY!

Goldfinch, how scary! Yikes! Good thing you were alert and ready to react fast.

Dear Bike Company whose bike I own:

This is the facebook status you just posted: "Just when you think you've heard them all . . . .everyone male that ever orders a bike from us always delays it one day in order to get "permission" from the "boss", or the "financial advisor" or the "CFO" or the "general". Kevin just gave us notice that he will "sedate" his wife tonight and get his Silver Series order in!! hahaha, what's your best "let me talk to my wife first" pickup line."

Do I REALLY need to explain to you why this is not an acceptable status? I won't comment on it there, because I don't plan to get jumped for messing with what is "all good fun" in the boys' club. But - you have female customers too. What makes you think this is OK? My relationship is built on mutual trust and respect, and I really don't appreciate this stereotype.

    Signed,

The customer who may be removing your decals because she is currently disgusted

Blueberry, that is horrendous. Yuck. Any chance you want to let us know who it was? I'd rather not spend my money with companies that promote creepy jerks.

Now, that's the most offensive thing I've heard all day!

That was too easy. I googled "silver series bike" and had 2 likely hits. Gary Fischer and Lynskey. I have to say I was surprised to learn it was on the Lynskey Facebook page....

Blueberry, you could always send that message directly to Lynskey via their Contact Us form:

At least when someone else writes back and says "gee, no-one else complained", you'll know they're lying.

I haven't (and probably won't) jump in on the comment thread. But - I did send them some very pointed feedback directly. We'll see what, if anything, they say. I PM'd you a copy just for fun

Update: I don't see the offending status anymore. They have, however, posted a very tasteful photo of a female customer actually riding one of their bikes. Hmmm....

    Ugh, SheFly. Where was this?
I've already had a few "you are ruining it for other cyclists' moments in the past 2 weeks.
Especially when there was a whole group of "doofii" stopped and blocking the intersection of Strawberry Hill and Pope Rd. I mean at least 20, standing with their bikes in the road.

Crankin - coming into Concord Center on rte 62 where it backs up by the cemetery. We barely had enough room on the right, and this doofus was going into the oncoming lane to pass on the left. All it would have taken was one of those cars to move right seeing him in their mirror, and we were done for.

The warmer weather is here, and lots of people are out doing stupid things.

    Dear Testing People:

Why do you wait until allergy season to test students? It's really disgusting to have to listen to my students snort and snuffle over their tests. At least when I am teaching I don't hear it as much.

Also, why is it you wait until the first really hot week?
