The guy was just joking to get a rise out of me, so I laughed. And it gave me a good screen name! This is my second career; I was an aircraft mechanic before, and you had to have thick skin to work with those guys so it takes a lot to get to me!

What is the biggest lie you've ever told: I'm a horrible liar! But probably some exaggeration of how quickly I hiked a mountain or something.

Most memorable moment on my bike: Coming up to a two way stop on our way home from a race, my mom and I didn't have the stop so were slowing down only a bit to go through. But this clueless elderly woman doesn't stop at her sign and is apparently oblivious to our presence. Just at the last second she pulls through, and I pile on the breaks. I came about six inches from going face first into the car. Meanwhile, my mom is behind me and just barely misses hitting me. I yelled out a not so nice name at the woman, which my mom (fortunately) heard as "ditch". A reminder to always watch your tongue when mom's around

Most fun ever had on a bike? Probably my first sprint tri. I'm slow in the water so catching up on the bike is a great feeling for me. It was a reminder that everyone has strengths and weaknesses.

I sent my dad out of the room once when I was fixing something around the house coz I told him I would probably be using words I didn't need him to know I knew! Most memorable moment on my bike: Making it up highway 9 to Skyline from Saratoga! ...thought I was gonna die! AND.. when I was going through my mandatory 3X falls on y clipless peddles - having my DH yell at me to GET UP!! (doubt he'll ever do that again without askin if I'm okay first )

welcome to the board tprevost! a 95 Trek eh? sounds like the vintage Treks are trying to rule the world! I ride a 97 Trek 1100. Congrats on your new Roubaix tho - lucky you! I'm still waiting for my knight (night?) in shining armour to ride up on my new custom-built Luna, or Trek carbon fiber, or Rivendell, or.........I'll let ya'll know just as soon as he gets here!

Most memorable moment on my bike: Nothing memorable - just love riding. Last year my husband and I wrote 61 miles of 72 on the Trail of the Coeur d'Alene.
Most fun ever had on a bike? Riding at night in the spring/summer. It is so relaxing and good time to wind down and just enjoy other's company.

What's in my stable: There is my 05 BMC velvet 01 mountain bike which I built up into a lean mean racing machine (has xtr components, hayes disc brakes, mavic wheels, and reba forks). I also have a cute little giant which I built up for mountain cross racing. Then I have a giant OCR1 road bike which I ride the most but enjoy the least, it is my training bike. Then I have a giant which I built up as a hack bike and I use it for mountain cross racing.

Fastest speed on a road bike: Hmmmm....probably about 40 mph.

Explanation of your handle: LOL it's actually a variation of my usual handle (which is ardent_moon). ardent means "characterized by warmth of feeling typically expressed in eager zealous support or activity; impassioned" (merriam-webster). and my old handle is because i love the moon, this handle is because i love riding my bike. it makes me feel alive and happy like so few other things do. so yes, i'm a cheesy, writer woman and that was what i came up with. lol

What is the biggest lie you've ever told: the biggest lie i've ever told has been to myself - that i'm not good enough, too fat, can't do it, not pretty enough, not smart enough, don't deserve to be happy etc etc etc - but i amgood enough, am working on it, am doing it, cute enough that i don't mind waking up with me, have 2 degrees so i must be at least somewhat intelligent and happiness is riding my bike with my hair whipping out behind me... then in my eyes, drooling and snotting on myself, falling off, getting back on and feeling like jelly when i'm done. life is what i choose to make it.

Most memorable moment on my bike: i honestly don't have one yet. my memory prediction though will be that my most memorable moment will occur when i ride across my country.

Isn't that the truth! What amazes me about my own kids and their lack of riding. When I was little, my horses and my bike were my tickets to parent free days. Get up in the morning and clear the heck out of Dodge. Here my boys are all older than 11 and can you get them to go on their own around any of the wonderful trails in our city? No. Running out of ideas. I think I may have to start paying them to tour the town.

Most memorable moment on my bike: I just started riding August 2005. I am really enjoying. Most memorable was biking a 30 mile trip

Most fun ever had on a bike? I went on a ride earlier this month (was about 40) and I rode with another person we just rode and talked and before you knew it we had gone 27 miles. A couple of challenging hills but I did it and it was so cool to be riding in the middle of winter!
