In 2007 with all my triathlons, duathlons and 50+ mile rides I allllmost made it down to a six. Then I crashed on my mountain bike, got the flu and fell off the bandwagon. I could squeeze into them. Still! Perhaps one day I'll make it there. Maybe this summer!

Monday is measurement day with my trainer. It's her calipers that I really care about. I'm hoping that not only have I lost some fat, but that I've also gained more muscle.

I guess trekking through the Peruvian Andes for 9 days really agreed with my weight loss plan. Now, that I'm back home I know it's going to be more difficult to keep up that kind of activity level.

I'm trying though--worked out hard on Wed at the gym, short bike ride yesterday, gym today, and I'm attempting 70 miles tomorrow on the bike. We'll see! That will be my longest ride since I started biking again a year ago.

242, but considering I've been treating various visiting family for dinner out just about every day, I think that's pretty good.

I've been introduced to the indoor trainer by D*H and can do 10 miles in about an hour and fifteen minutes. I've decided I really prefer the lake route, where I can coast and still earn miles, but this sure beats not getting any exercise at all because I couldn't carve out a three-hour block of time to get to the lake, get changed, ride for two hours, and drive home.

Hi, little Bear! Welcome to the world! (Worth it, indeed, Mama limewave. Congratulations.)

I guess I forgot to weigh in last week. Freudian slip, most likely.

I'm at 138 this morning and have decided to not weigh in again until the end of the challenge. I get too frustrated by the lack of movement in the right direction when it seems I'm doing what I should be to lose. Will revisit my food intake and choices yet again.

Judging by the way my watch and ring magically grow larger and smaller, I retain lots of water with no apparent pattern to the retention. I'm sure my little fluctuations in weigh are simply water weight gain/loss.

Back up to 142 I have not been making wise choices this week - too much emotional eating. Little Bear might be the cutest baby I have ever seen! I love my three children to death, but they took a little longer to become that irresistible.

No change here. Considering I spent 4 days with my folks this week celebrating my dad's birthday, and I ate and drank way too much rich food and sweets and didn't exercise at all while I was there, I'm happy I didn't gain.

185.2 I ate everything in sight this week. I couldn't stop myself. Last night I ate a huge steak, drank really good wine and split two desserts with my friend and she didn't eat her fair share. So now I am back from my vacation away from dieting and will be dieting again this week.
