My first ride after my accident. New beak did not affect the aerodynamics.
Fingers not 100% yet on the bars. Thought I was getting headaches too but loosened the new helmet a smidgin and Voila! (How dumb can ya get??)

Went out at dawn, saw the sun rise over the Golan Heights - all reds and golds and pinks.Tons of tiny birds out - too small to be the early birds getting the worms. My bee-eaters have moved on - not a one at the nesting place.
Still quite a lot of caper flowers about, the grapes coming on and the early dates beginning to change from bright green to a kind of reddish brown.
Hot and dry - the predominant shades are golds in the fields and yellows on the hillsides and dusty greens of the date palms and olive trees

2 1/2 hours over the agricultural vehicle tracks.

All you need is love...la-dee-da-dee-da...all you need is love!

Rode with Brandy this morning. Uneventful and somewhat relaxing until I hit a patch of sand and >camethisclose< to eating the asphault on PCH! Boy, did that cause an adrenaline rush/hr spike!

Your biggest challenge isn't someone else.
It's the ache in your lungs and the burning in your legs and the voice inside that yells "CAN'T".
But you don't listen. You just push harder.
And then you hear the voice whisper "CAN".
And you discover that the person you thought you were is no match for the one you really are.

Glad you are back on the bike, healing up and safe! Your ride sounds beautiful and very exotic.

    Way to go DDH!

congratulations - don't overdo and keep it up!

A little warm here to day - low 90's (I thought I was going to send everyone cooler temps not you send us warmer)

Had some errands in the valley so took the bike instead of the car. One stop was at the LBS to look for a helmet mirror. Bought a new helmet and the mirror, then didn't have room to carry the old helmet so left it there.

Rode back later to pick up old helmet and get a handle on how mirror is supposed to work, left and rode home only to realize I left my cell phone on the counter

    Rode back again

put mirror on helmet and rode up and down a dead end street adjusting it

Called friend to see how it is supposed to be - she assured me I do have to close my right eye to see clearly. Whew

    16.8 crazy in town miles
