Why did the officials make Floyd lower his bars?

Hee hee, you must've posted as I was posting, so I never saw your post 'til after I did my post!

If you want to do a spoiler alert on yours, go back to your post and click "edit" at the bottom of the post. It'll give you a text box. Adjust your text the way you want, then click "save" (in the text box).

I had a ****ens of a time figuring out I had to hit "save" and not "edit" again.

I'm so happy for FLOYD and his dead thigh bone. I hope the hip replacement doesn't screw him up.

They didn't conform to specs. There are all sorts of rules about weight, etc. for the bikes.

Floyd's aero bars were tilted just a fraction too high... they have lowered them just millimetres to be at the max height within the regs.

There are many regs around competition events as Veronica said...
    weight of bike
    crank length
    seat height
how far/back seat is allowed to be
    distance between seat and bars
    the size of the triangle

    ... and on it goes...

If you turn up to an event and the commissairs (sp?) measure your bike and it doesn't meet the specs, you will not be allowed to race.

    "I will try again tomorrow".
