Have you tried one of the saddles that is shaped more like a "V" in the back with a cut-out where your tailbone would be? Sorry that I can't recommend a specific brand, but maybe someone else can.

Are you riding a hybrid bike or any bike with a very upright riding position? I ride a road bike and my tailbone doesn't contact the saddle since I ride leaning forward at about a 45-degree angle, but if you ride more upright, you need to be sure to get a saddle that doesn't put any pressure on that area.

I used to ride a recumbent and got tailbone pain, so I do empathize! Other recumbent riders (male) that I mentioned this too didn't ever seem to have this problem, so perhaps we ladies just have longer "tails"!
