    Dumb question--SAG?

So does SAG actually stand for something? I always see people write it in all capital letters here, so it seems like it might. I have always thought of it as just "sag", like because you are tired and sagging

Someone posted here once that it stood for "Support And Gear", which make sense to me.
    Keep calm and carry on...

It's debated... there's no clear trail to its origin. "support and gear," "supplies and gear," just "what to do if you sag..." whatever. It's short and easy to put on a sign to stick on the truck :-)

    From Sheldon Brown's Bicycle Glossary
    http://www.sheldonbrown.com/gloss_sa-o.html

    Sag Wagon
A car or truck that picks up or otherwise assists riders who have had to stop riding, either due to fatigue, injury, or mechanical failure. This is primarily a touring term, racers call the corresponding vehicle the "broom wagon."
Some people believe that the term derives from the verb "sag", others maintain that it is an acronym for "Support And Gear."
