I got up this morning, decided to actually style my hair, sat in front of the air conditioner while I blew it and curled it and once I walked away from the wall unit in my apartment (no central air darn it), I got all damp and sweaty and hair frizzed out and is now in a pony tail. Geez, if I knew I wouldn't have blown it in the first place.
Strangely it really hasn't affected my riding. I did 40 miles yesterday leaving at 8a and thankfully those clouds came in and provided some cover because the Club Ride I did was going inland to the foothills. The ride actually turned out to be very pleasant. I did tell the ride cooridnator had it been hot, I would have curse him all the way up El Toro to Portola!
I've also been doing alot of riding in the evening from 6 - 8a. Thankfully I get a little breeze then and can stay cooler. It's just those middle hours like from 11a - 5 p. Geez, not comfortable inside or out. My poor little wall unit is running non-stop.
I guess we still shouldn't be complaining. Where my folks live its in the 90's and rainy. Now that's hot and humid!
