That's why I don't think that I will be doing this either.

Well, they also have a road bike section too... that has varying distances, up to 100 miles.

But, since you live in AZ and it's in TX... I can see why you wouldn't be doing it. I know I wouldn't travel that far for a bike rally.

You know, last year my husband and I went on a biking honeymoon to CA wine country organized by Trek Travel. I love bike trips when I don't have to drag or ship my bike and everything is organized. We put a lot of miles in three days, tiring but a lot of fun. I would travel for something like this again.
Thanks again for the offer. Maybe next time.

I have heard there is an unofficial rest stop at mile 99. Some local people serve beer to the riders willing to stop!

I would certainly stop for beer on mile 99 of a century! I've done several and have never been that lucky...

Well, that's the rumour! A guy a rode with yesterday told me all about it.

Yesterday I did a metric centery.. aka: 63 miles with a group. It was 102F degrees... and we all said it was good training for the Hotter Than Hell!

I did good. My left calf started to act like it was going to cramp up, but I kept drinking water and eating my Clif Shots, and it stayed away!
