Where are you going to meet in Emeryville?
I'd like to do both rides. Now they say it's not going to be quite as hot this weekend, like 90 instead of 100 in the East Bay. For what it's worth.

I usually park in a lot in Emeryville near an office building out past Chevy's, but the last time I was there on a weekend, the lot was locked, so we parked in the Chevy's overflow parking - I'll post a map later this morning.Originally Posted by dachshund
No, the ride I told you about is all hills... the ride I am now going to do is 40 flat miles with CindySue (and probably a bunch of others).Originally Posted by Spazzdog
Walnut Creek is either a drive or Bart - you could ride your bike over to MacArthur BART and take Bart to the Walnut Creek station.

I'd love to come, but, alas, my hubby is going to the Trips for Kids swapmeet in the North Bay and I have kid duty. I'll see you again in Monterey. And I want to plan a ride from my place soon. The one last year fell through. It would be fun to ride and then we can crash our cabana club pool, if anyone is so inclined.![]()

Slinkedog, I'd love to join you on a ride from your place some time. I just hope I'm home when you plan one. I'll be riding that week-long Candisc ride in the midwest in August, though.
Hey Kjay! Let's try to plan something, then!!Originally Posted by kjay
When is Candisk? I'm sure we can work around it and get something going!

For me a little later rollout on Sunday than 8:00 am would be nice.
If I take BART, the 1st train doesn't hit MacArthur until 8:18am putting me at Walnut Creek around 8:41am, assuming it all happens on time.
How's a 9:00-9:30 rollout?

p.s. if everybody prefers the earlier start, I'll see what I can do or I'll make the next ride. I'm spending Sat. taking a physical agility test for 4 hrs and think I might be moving a little slow on Sun morning.
no regrets!

good luck on the PA test Spazz. You'll either be moving slower 'cause you're tired or bouncing with joy 'cause you passed.![]()

Hey Spazz - I'm not organizing the Sunday ride I'm just one of the attendees. The Sunday ride is sponsored by LunaChix, and Cindy wants to get going by 9:00 to beat the heat. So I think 9 is the time - but an 8:40 am arrival should leave you plenty of time, even if that first train is a little late.Originally Posted by spazzdog

Tomorrow's high is only 72 in Emeryville, so heat shouldn't be a factor. 8 or 9, whatever.
I'm sort of a maybe now. My social life drought is ending all in one weekend, and NO...not dates....Let me know what you guys decide to do for Saturday!
