Shiraz- This will be my 3rd time riding the STP. It's mostly a very fun ride!!!!! Bring some cash with you as there will be community rest stops with all kinds of homemade goodies that you'll want to try along the way. The STP is the biggest event in Western Washington to go by all of these small towns and they raise money for school programs from this ride.
Don't worry too much about the others. You'll find your own pace. Just be sure that you let people know you are passing them. Most of the riders will be single file, occasionally a few who aren't. The big thing to be careful of is the pacelines. They are generally pretty good about telling you when they are coming by but you don't always know how long they are.
I'll be wearing the Amici Veloci jersey on Saturday (if it's cold in the AM I'll have a yellow Benicia bicycle Club windjacket on- can't miss the color). On Sunday I'll wear the Bike Journal jersey- blue and orange.
What do you plan to wear and where are you staying?

A little early for me but it will all be great. I had some bike repairs to contend with today. So I made a mad dash back to the bike shop to have a repair on my shifter. I had taken it in and thought all was good and decided to take it out one more time and glad I did. We go back tomorrow to pick it up. Hey I will be wearing a Terry butterfly jersey with red and lots of other colors Sat and a blue pockadot jersey on Sunday. I would love to say hi!! If not hope you have a fun, safe ride and meet lots of wonderful people.
