    Bike Goddess,
Thanks for the encouragement and advise! My plan is too have a really good time and enjoy the company and scenery. I have been riding plenty of miles with double days so I feel that I am ready for the challenge.
We are staying at hotels with our husbands (who will not be riding). I kind of wish we were staying with the crowd to get the "whole" affect, but I will definitely get a better night sleep. We are staying in Centralia the second night? How about you?
My girlfriend and myself are meeting up with some friends at 0500 sharp. I ride a Trek5200 wsd black and red. I will have a screaming yellow pearl jacket on and probably my white with black shebeest jersy the first day. Not sure for the second.

So I'll be looking out for you! We'll start around 6:30 or so I figure. By that time it's a little warmer and we won't have to carry so many outer clothes.

We are all staying in Vader, about 25 miles south of Centralia.

Don't worry about missing anything in Centralia. When you come in, it's a big party! Music, ice cream, entertainment, you name it! Hard for those of us who are going further to leave, BUT dinner yonder will be calling!

I'll be wearing a blue and orange jersey on Sunday that says Bike Journal on it. If it's hot, I'll be changing into a sleevless yellow jersey. I have a black Scott bike, but that's hard to see which is why I'm more interested in what people are wearing as we can see our clothes from a distance.

Hope to see you but ...I understand from the others that we are going to meet at 0500 A little early for me but it will all be great. I had some bike repairs to contend with today. So I made a mad dash back to the bike shop to have a repair on my shifter. I had taken it in and thought all was good and decided to take it out one more time and glad I did. We go back tomorrow to pick it up. Hey I will be wearing a Terry butterfly jersey with red and lots of other colors Sat and a blue pockadot jersey on Sunday. I would love to say hi!! If not hope you have a fun, safe ride and meet lots of wonderful people.

I want to wish all the participants in the STP ride all the best of luck. May you have a safe and enjoyable ride with the wind always at your back.

Hope to join you in a couple years.

    Thanks, Quill! Much appreciated.

I would like to second that, too---that is, good luck, y'all. See you at the Finish Line Festival!

I'm in too... stitches and all!

I've been out of town since Sunday, so I just took my first spin since the crash. Except for a little bit of tightness and some instability out of the saddle, I'm good to go. Woo-hoo!

This morning I went to the Dr. to get the stitches out. When I told her that I was riding in the STP, she said I had to keep them in until after the ride. I still have one big patch that hasn't filled in yet.

See y'all on the road! I'll be the one with a small bandage below my right knee cap.
