I don't know if anyone saw this article today in the New York Times (online edition), regarding Floyd.
I wanted to post it here, for those of you who haven't read it.

    Here's the link:

Bicycling.com broke the news about that last night, with a less detailed article. When I first read it, it was like hearing about Operation Puerto the day before the Tour Prologue. Reading the Times article this morning, though, really reinforced my admiration for Floyd. The guy is like a walking Nike ad-- He just does it. And he's funny as hell, to boot! I really, really want to see him win the Tour, get that surgery, then come back to do it again next year.

Wow, that must be scary for him, deciding when to get it replaced. I remember reading about him, how he always sat down all the time. Now we really know why.

I just love Floyds story. His upbringing was prolly much different from most pro cyclists. I have to wonder what his parents think of all of this. I hope he goes all the way in light of his apparent health problems! What a FIGHTER!!!

RM, I read in a book that his parents support him, and traveled to a big race (TDF? TDG??) and held up signs that said "We Support Floyd Landis."
