    A wonderful post RAAM surprise

I had a WONDERFUL SURPRISE when I got home. There was a handwritten note from Roborider! Inside the note was a RAAM 2006 patch AND.....
The number plaque from Robo's Tarmac he rode in RAAM!!!! I almost cried with JOY. I know that I have a jersey coming eventually, but NEVER expected this. I was a very bright spot in a foggy week on and off this week. Now I've got to figure out where to put it on the Navigator, I really feel like part of the team now.

Mary, tell us the story (forgive me if it's elsewhere on the forum).

BTW, I was viewing your photos and you should be very proud of all the hard work you've done and the progress you've made. You're truly an inspiration.

    That's so cool!

I got a personal e-mail response from Shanna Armstrong. I was really tickled that she took the time to do that. The RAAM riders are certainly a unique bunch - very generous in giving back to their supporters.

    Thanks everyone,
I really do need to write up a journal or something with my experience this summer helping with Team Cyclonauts. I really had NO idea what I was getting into AND until earlier this year I didn't even know what The Race Across America was. It was quite a learning experience and my helmet goes off to the entire crew and team!
I just realized that I'd not updated my homepage with my photobucket site url. There are even MORE photos of my last year's adventures on it. I ran out of room early on the picturetrail site, so if you'd like to see more photos of the past year of my cycle life click on the new homepage.
If anyone is interested in seeing the photos that are coming in from RAAM and Team Cyclonauts I've been putting them up at Team Cyclonauts RAAM photobucket
    Mary
