That is so cool! This is one of my bike goals: to do exactly what you're doing, to make riding a part of traveling when I go places. I find myself scoping out the local roads: "This would be a good way to ride...uh huh, bike path...hmm, construction zone, would be better to try another route..."

Thanks for sharing your plan--it sounds like what I'd like to do!
