I picked Floyd to win the tour, but George is my favorite. I want to see him back in yellow! From the first shots of him on the course DH said he just didn't seem to be going hard. We thought maybe he was conserving energy (the old Lance style of TT), but sadly he was just having bad day.

And I agree, how can they make an adjustment to Floyd's bike at the last minute? Did he know ride the prologue in that position? He might have won had he not had the bike mishap.

It was just awful to see Julich's crash over and over. I squealed (sp?) in agony when I saw that. It was just so horrible. I was glad he walked to the ambulance, but it is really a shame in the twilight of his career.

That was one weird day in the tour. I don't think Phil and Paul quite knew what the make of it either.
