Huh? You'll have to elaborate. Does it involve holly bushes?

Oooh, I just remembered BikerZ's little "Duck, Duck, Grey Goose" pun. Wonder what we could do with that.

Duck, duck, Grey Goose was mine (I think). I'm sure Z played a round or two with me though. Or maybe she did invent it and I got so drunk I forgot that bit...
Oh, and heads down, thumbs up is that kids' game (I teach the brats, remember?) where everyone shuts their eyes and the folk who are "in" have to go around and squeeze someone's thumb, then the squeezees have to guess who did it - you guess correctly and you swap places with the squeezer.
Drink coffee and do stupid things faster with more energy.

Hmm, brainstorming. Feel free to tell me if my idea is lame, partially or completely.
Index card idea.
15 famous people who are frequently quoted and two quotes per person.
Famous persons with accents are good because it will be funny listening to people mangle the quote.
Each participant must recite the quote out loud until s/he finds their mate and then jointly identify the famous person to the judge (me).
Prize to be determined.
I just found out that I may have to do a 2nd presentation later in the afternoon. I'll reserve the candy throwing for that presentation.

If you want to stick close to your business theme, I think the problems and solutions cards can actually be a good intro to a presentation. It certainly works with decision theory (the so-called "garbage can" theory of decision-making says there are problems floating about without solutions and solutions floating about without problems and occasionally the twain meet and more or less work together, but they are not necessarily perfect matches). You could have three types of players -- problem owners, solution owners, and marketers whose job it is to explain how any random pair of them could be a good match for one another. And then when you've got their attention, you could go serious on them about how to do this sort of thing better, or how your software developers actually listen to problem owners and thereby actually have come up with good and readily salable solutions.
Half-marathon over. Sabbatical year over. It's back to "sacking shirt and oat cakes" as they say here.
I have to do something silly. It is just my nature. And the team building need is for people to get to know each other personally and build rapport not to build trust in the company. We all work remotely from each other so it is very difficult at time to get to know someone personally. I think this makes a big difference in how we interact with each other.
So I'm just gathering stuff that might work. So, the pairing might be a character or a movie or a famous person. I should go find some Bushisms that won't completely set off political alarms. You know how hard it is to find quotes without sexual innuendo also???
