He'd probably be happy if he could IM (Ironman, not Instant Message) like Peter Reid!

Isn't Peter Reid the one who has to quit one year, either because he has a kidney stone, or just because he isn't doing well, then wins Kona the next year?

I'm trying to think of which IM athlete I think is the best-looking.

My dh is a police officer too. I don't think he's very scary either.

    Can I really? Thanks!

He's not scrawny! He's lean, but I'll bet he beefs up some. He's taking up windsurfing and solo piloting. The dude's a loner. He has gorgeous shoulders already--imagine how they'll look after a season of windsurfing. Those eyes, those lips...did I say that already? I know, I know, I go for the moody bad-boy types, and this has not panned out well for me in the past! But he's hard working! Dedicated! Those eyes...

Nanci, you're thinking of Tim DeBoom with the kidney stone. He dropped out of one of the Kona races during the marathon with excruciating pain. Peter Reid burned out a couple of years ago, quit triathlon, took off on his motorcycle...and after a couple of months said, "hey, what happened to me?" and got back into it, won Kona again. Sounds like he's done for good now, and I cannot blame him.

He has a large Adam's apple, you know what that's supposed to mean ;-)

Tim Deboom, yes, I remember him writhing around in the back of an ambulance.

Still haven't come up with one that's any cuter than PR.

I like Natasha Badman- does that count?

What I meant to say, before Lise distracted me, was what the heck is going on in North Korea? (Two missiles launched, first landed in Sea of Japan, apparently not the intercontinental type) I hope this doesn't turn into some "thing." At least the space shuttle got launched safely today.

But actually, I got lost and thought I was in Thread Drift, because that was where I was headed before I noticed there was new Peter Reid.

    Oh well. I'm tired.

Ummm, I wouldn't say PR is scrawny. That's called lean muscle. I love lean muscle. I especially love well defined arms, adorned by lean muscle. I'm in the Lise Camp here (though I'm not really wild about blondes).

Now if George bulked up the upper body a little bit and got some decent looking sunglasses...

I don't really find _any_ of them _that_ hot, but Chris McCormack is the cutest, I think.

As for the women, I think Jessi Stensland is gorgeous, but in the sense of "I wish I looked like her", not "ooh, she's hot."

Yellow summed up the Peter Reid attraction beautifully. Lean muscle. He's tall, he's strong, he's hot. I stand by my position!

Holy Camoli, Lise!!! That pic of Jessi Stensland!

    Oh, lordy!

    Oh, my!

    Oh, dear!

(you can have PR if I can have JS)

Edit: Oh, heavens! I just found her website ( www.gojessi.com ) In the top banner there's a photo of her nekkid back as she's holding her bike over her head. I couldn't "capture" the pic, and it scrolls by pretty quickly. Dang! And I'm not old enough to be her mother after all...

haha, I was thinking the same thing, but his legs are fine! Gimme some broad shoulders and decent pecs. One caveat: I don't dig a guy who has a bigger bum than I ;-)

Why do tall guys go for petite chicks? I've a couple tall friends who have had a hard time finding beaus tall enough because all the fellas their height or taller are with the 5'4" and under gals.
