i am pretty new to cycling... just broke 230 total miles on my first real bike - it has a brooks saddle that has been broken in by someone else. (doesn't seem to matter. i like it a lot.) i have a problem though...
the girly-bits are really taking a beating, so i tilted the saddle down to just about level. now i can't figure out how to sit on the thing without sliding (or at least i feel like i'm sliding) forward. so can someone tell me what the "right way" is to sit on a road bike? i have looked at several sources and the answer seems to be "whatever is comfy for you". i am having trouble figuring out how to position myself so that i have my sit bones on the right part of the seat and still pedal at my normal speed. i have adjusted several things (bar height, bar tilt, saddle height, etc.) in an effort to find that magical combo, but i am not sure that i am in the overall "correct" position. riding in the drops is not all that comfy as my torso is long and my legs are short, but if i have the seat level, that is the only comfy way to sit... am i the only one who can't get comfy?
...any thoughts?
