June 29th Ride Report

I'm on vacation in North Dakota and had a great ride this morning with my brother and a new friend that I met in Minot's Wednesday night club ride.

We waited for the rain shower to pass and then went for 25 miles. It was a little breezy, with winds about 20-25 miles per hour and the temp was close to 80. A nice change from the Texas heat.

I really enjoyed the country roads and didn't miss the traffic, or the glass (and other junk) that we have to avoid in Austin. We had a few hills with grades from 6-8% as well as one hill that was an 11% grade for most of the climb and 25% at the top. I got nervous and unclipped.

uneventful commute to work this morning. The traffic lights are working again in downtown DC.

I'm about to leave to go home, and it's awfully stormy-looking out there. But I gotta get home, and the Metro might be flooded, again.

Commuted. Nice headwind going out stuck around to give me a push home. Had a few close calls with cabs on Wacker drive. The usual
