I don't ride mornings except for weekends and go with the 'ol stand by of PB, w/w toast and banana. I know you aren't supposed to drink coffee cause of dehydration and all that, but gotta have the morning brew!

For my after work rides, I keep food at work and try to have a late afternoon snack of yogurt/banana or w/w english muffin w/peanut butter. If I'm out of food, then power bar or gel. I find that if I don't eat something, then the ride stinks cause I'm struggling w/low energy. So having learned the hard way, I always eat before going out.

Did a 28 mile dinner ride w/local bike club last night, only had time for a power bar before which was perfect. I also ride w/one water bottle of accelerade and 1 plain water. I can't drink gatorade while riding - makes me sick. By experimenting I found the accelerade works very well for me. Kind of pricey, but what isn't in this sport?
