You'll appreciate the humor in this: my boys are on a local swim team (here in Springfield, VA) and even though it's been raining heavily all day and thundering and we are under a flood warning, they wouldn't cancel their developmental meet this evening. They postponed for over an hour, then got everyone into the pool, then it thundered (yet again). They still wouldn't call the meet (even though every time it thunders you have to leave the pool for 45 minutes--time restarts every time it thunders). So I had to call it for them!!! (We didn't go back). Of course it thundered yet again after we got home, and has continued. I wonder if they finally "officially" called the meet.

It amazes me sometimes how crazy people get over kids sports!!!
