Here's a TERRIBLE picture of me at my first ever ride back in March. It was a 26 mile ride and I hadn't yet discovered the wonders of moisture-wicking material and using a bike that actually works. That's my beloved Trek 800, which NOW has gears that work and slick tires and all kinds of goodies on it. When I did the ride (and I discovered this AFTER, of course), only 6 of my 21 gears were working and the guys at my LBS were totally amazed I was able to ride as far as I did with only 6 gears (I didn't tell them I spent the next 2 days in bed recovering...but that's a story for another time!![]()
Now that I've been riding more and reading wonderful posts from you ultra-knowledgable ladies, I don't feel quite as dumb as I used to...although still a lot to learn....![]()
