today was 5 and a half hours on the bike. I was trying to make the rolling buffet work for me but didn't get enough calories in compared to what I should have. Too much of it was on the flat though, and with no major uphills to make me think, and no downhills to have fun with I ended up thinking alot about various pains. My feet and neck were super sore. But as soon as I hit the hills at the very end the pain was miraculously gone!

Anyway, I'm sleepy... going to bed right away I think.

Good for you! That course does look really hilly, from the 140.6 DVD RM loaned me.

as hilly as it is, its not really that bad. Its never severely steep. There is a long uphill but, conversely, its followed by a long downhill. I've biked the course there before so I know what to expect. Actually the flats are hard for me, the recovery is nice, but I don't push myself as hard along them, I get bored.

As for the hills on the run course, I live and train in Montreal and its almost impossible to go without hills. However, I have IT band problems in my left leg so for the worst of the hills I'll be walking anyway.
