Ladies, its now only 31 days away! What happened to it being a year and a half away?!

Today I had a solid brick workout which has rendered me useless for the moment. My pace felt great, and I think I handled my eating/hydration fairly well. Tonight is a swim workout, going to take it fairly easy, practice some pacing to keep myself from being a first lap hero! (That's the beauty of IMLP, two laps of the swim, two of the bike, two of the run... its great for pacing yourself!)

Oh my gosh t-flor!! I didn't know you were doing IMLP. Thats the grande dame of Im's in my book! The hills! OY! Your one strong cookie!!
I have a documentary that was done at LP last year called 140.6. This guy followed three people through training and the race. It was really cool. I'd be glad to loan it to you if you'd like to see it. As long as you promise to send it back. I sent it to Lise and she gave it a thumbs up as well.
As for tips, my only one is watch the porta johns on the bike course. Bike cleats and plastic floors don't mix! Also don't grip your bars too tight. I'm STILL dealing with the effects of a compressed ulnar nerve!!
Oh- and go to the prerace dinner and post race banquet. Esp. the post race so you can get a copy of the video. It's pretty nifty that they have them ready the next morning! Ahh technology!!
Anyway, keep us posted on your training, tapering, and what your # is when they post them!! YAY!! Another TE'r to watch on IMLIVE!!! Woo Hoo!!
Let's hope it WORKS this time!! errgghhh..

    1 month away!

    It's very close!

Keep up with the training and keep your eye on the goal! And of course, keep us updated!

today was 5 and a half hours on the bike. I was trying to make the rolling buffet work for me but didn't get enough calories in compared to what I should have. Too much of it was on the flat though, and with no major uphills to make me think, and no downhills to have fun with I ended up thinking alot about various pains. My feet and neck were super sore. But as soon as I hit the hills at the very end the pain was miraculously gone!

Anyway, I'm sleepy... going to bed right away I think.

Good for you! That course does look really hilly, from the 140.6 DVD RM loaned me.

as hilly as it is, its not really that bad. Its never severely steep. There is a long uphill but, conversely, its followed by a long downhill. I've biked the course there before so I know what to expect. Actually the flats are hard for me, the recovery is nice, but I don't push myself as hard along them, I get bored.

As for the hills on the run course, I live and train in Montreal and its almost impossible to go without hills. However, I have IT band problems in my left leg so for the worst of the hills I'll be walking anyway.
