Maybe contacting Catharina Berge would be useful once you've completed in-depth research. She spent some time on TeamEstrogen last year after the race and would probably be happy to answer TEWomen questions...

MP, you're absolutely right. I've looked at the stats of riders, and even if you don't need it for a team, i think it would be silly not to. I was hoping that we would do the 508, and i was thinking of pushing for it in 2007.

To be honest, even setting a 2009 date wouldn't bother me. It would be more time to prepare, run a few more ultra races,(maybe set 508 for 2008) we can see how our crew comes together and make some life-long friendships I'm sure. The crew is a vital aspect, anyone can ride a bike....

and like someone mentioned, there is money to be considered. Anyone really good at fund-raising?

i might be able to con a gal I know into helping crew, she's a massage wonder and she likes to ride a bike too!

Veronica and SadieKate ! They put the rest of our Top Hat team (an MS fundraising ride) to shame.

Then again, rumor has it Veronica was shaking down her fifth graders for their lunch milk money

Wow, that woman is AMAZING!!! What a role model... I had never heard of the RAAM before I found TE. Sounds like quite a challenge!
