and calling shimano directly was USELESS! i tried 3 or 4 different times... and each time they told me i HAD to go to a bike shop (not MY bike shop..... ANY bike shop that sells shimano)... they they would verify it's, indeed, a recalled skewer.... and order me a new one...... at one point... they did say they were going to send me an ultegra until the shop got my dura-ace cuz i had a ride coming up (didn't tell them i had another skewer that i was using)... but it's never arrived... so they lied to get me off the phone!

if your old bike is a road bike... it's probably got 700 X 23 wheels! so you'll be good to go! i know i didn't want to ride my old dolce! lol! especially not with ride around the bear coming up (well... past now... but it was done with the replacement skewer!)
