I brought my bike in to Performance (where I purchased the bike and Mavic Open Pro wheels w/ Ultegra hubs) when the recall first was announced, and no one had even heard of such a thing. They said that usually their corporate headquarters sends out an announcement, but no one believed me, not even the manager. Until I pulled out a printout of the website.
They exchanged my skewers (front and rear - I insisted. Even though the recall is only for the front QR, I wanted the front and rear to match) with Mavic ones. I'm still waiting for the Ultegra ones to come in.
So if they don't believe you, prepare yourself by printing out the page. That might help.
