I have to disagree. With a good saddle, your sit bones shouldn't hurt, even if you only ride a few times a week.

When you find a good saddle, it feels like you're not sitting on a saddle. It's not too squishy or too hard. It's not too wide or too narrow. It supports your pelvic region in a very unobtrusive way.

If you haven't found a saddle that you can't feel, then you should keep looking. I happen to believe that with the plethora of saddles on the market, there should be one for everyone.
