Hmmm, most MTB riders where I ride are wearing flashy road jerseys, or street clothes.

PS, new avatar was brought on by extremely crabby day (read about in Thread Drift)- I realize it's a grouchy not-flattering pic, (except for Milly!) but that's how I felt.

AWWWWWW I am sorry you were not having a good day in that picture. Your hair is so pretty. I now have a better sence of what you look like. Hey we are going to have a sculpture in Jacksonvile florida. Are you any where near there?

Bright colored cotton tee shirts for visibility. padded bike shorts, gloves, helmet. One of these days I will get some appropriate tops that wick the moisture, etc.

    What did I miss?

I can't even imagine wearing a cotton shirt...It'd weigh five pounds by the time I was done!!

My SO teases me about this, actually members of the club I ride with tease me too, as my SO shared my "secret." I love bike clothes and will often hang out in them long after the ride is over. I have two bikes one blue and one red. I have color coordinated kits I like to wear with each one. Mostly black shorts, although I have one pair of red castelli's. I have few of different types of jerseys, although in the summer I prefer the sleveless variety. For my blue Fuji my favorite kit is the PI flower power jersey with black shorts, and with my red Luna the wild thing jersey with the red shorts. I am not a fashion plate in my "real" life, but like my bike stuff to match!

    Sandy,
Check out the Alert Shirts - they are less than $10! They do get you on shipping, though, so get a friend to go in with you and order several at once.
These are nice thick, wicking shirts (they have cotton and wicking materials)
