I have Yoga for Cyclists with Andria Baldovin. I really like it. She has 2 sessions on the DVD--one for days when you ride and one for days when you don't. I ordered it from Velo Gear. I don't have the website handy, but you can find it easily.

    Good luck........

    not a dvd

this show comes on oxygen in the mornings, its called INHALE. i love it. the instructor is steve ross (not all that great looking) but some of those positions.
there are about 12 in the group, you can tell some are beginers and some are advanced. the energy is up beat, the music is greatso you smile while you struggle.

if you have direct tv it comes on channel is 251, it comes on 6-7am est. right now the show is in syndication, but still great all together.

Sarah Ivanhoe's DVDs are good for beginners.

I have the Yoga for Cyclists and like it. However, it took some me some time to get used to the instructor's North Carolina accent

    Yoga DVDs

I've been doing yoga (classes and/or DVDs) for about 5 years and I have found I get alot of improvement in my cycling, as well as freedom from aches and pains when I practice regularly. (Off season I try to do yoga 2x/week).

For a beginner to understand moves -- basic yoga, I would recommend Ali McGraw's DVD (it is with a "famous" yogi who teaches it). It's very gentle, but moves quickly. It's a great all around DVD. This DVD is primarily "hatha yoga" - what you typically think of -- the relaxing stetching moves which focus on breathing and body discipline.

I'd also suggest Rodney Yee's DVDs -- he has yoga for athletes DVDs -- he is a very good teacher I think, I like his style. And then Graeme Street, who is a cyclist, has DVDs (Cycle-Core and Cyclo-Zen) that specifically focus on yoga for core strength of the cyclist. These are DVDs with stretching yoga moves, power yoga (very challenging!!) and also spinning on your bike on your trainer workouts. I liked his DVDs alot, but the spinning parts get a little boring (prefer Spinervals). But his power yoga routines are great. These are really designed to make you stronger as a cyclist. He is at www.cyclo-core.com. Street's yoga is power yoga, closer to "astanga" or "vinyasa" yoga -- it will make you sweat!

Have fun with it, I really enjoy trying to incorporate yoga into my routines, even if it's just using some of the poses for some quick stretching -- all cyclists should memorize the downward dog, pigeon pose, warrior pose, etc. as they help stretch the muscles that are so specific to cycling.

Also see attached sheet on yoga poses for cyclists...they are all yoga poses.
